Comments: Sterling City beat Water Valley.  Defense minded Milano is 22-10 on the season and 4-0 in Dist 16 with eight straight wins.  Cumby beat Miller Grove 25-19, 25-15, 25-10 as Brittany Seely had 13 points, 2 aces, 2 kills, 16 assists, 2 digs to lead Cumby to a 21-5 overall record. Louise beat Yorktown and is 28-2 overall and 9-0 in district.  Louise defeated Runge 30-28, 25-20, 25-13 and in a non district match defeated Rice Consolidated 25-17, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17 to avenge a loss from the first game of the year.  Avery defeated Sulphur Bluff and Dodd City to improve to 6-1 in district, 27-6 overall.  Savoy (18-10, 7-2) defeated Saint Jo, 28-26, 25-15, 27-25. Both of Savoy's losses in District 11-A play have come in five games. Detroit beat James Bowie and Wolfe City.  Louise (26-2, 8-0) swept Runge while Ganado (20-8) swept Pettus and Shiner is 20-7, 4-0. Yorktown beat Ganado, Runge lost again and Flatonia beat Shiner.

Comments: Lady Bucks of Alpine beat 1A State Ranked Santa Gertrudis Academy with scores of 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19. Avery Acker led the way with 30 kills, 8 assists, 5 blocks, 19 digs, 3 aces and Celeste Laredo with 14 kills, 10 digs while Jessi Robertson had 36 assists, 4 blocks, 5 digs, 3 aces.  Freer is now 22-8 for the season. Warren is 21-2 overall and 6-0 in district play.  Alpine is 26-7 after winning their district opener over Presidio 25-9, 25-12, 25-13. Arp beat Frankston 25-11,25-22,25-11 to improve to 26-8 (4-0 in district 19-2A.)  White is 35-0 after beating Elysian Fields in district and big Sandy in non-district.  Weimar defeated Schulenburg 27-29, 25-18, 25-15, 25-16 and Weimar beat Hallettsville 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.  Weimar is 8-0 in district with a 3 game lead and is 29-4 on the season. Chelsea Soto continues to lead Weimar in kills and Kari Christen leads Weimar in assists and serving. Both are ranked 1 and 2 in class 2A on Max Preps. Freer is 7-0 in District with recent wins over 1A State ranked Santa Gertrudis Academy and Jourdanton.  Quitman is 29-6, 6-0 and face a re-match with district rival Caddo Mills this week. Woodville beat Newton 25-12, 25-10, 25-13 while Warren defeated Buna in four games. Poth improved to 26-9, 5-0 by beating Kenedy 25-10, 25-6, 25-9 as Jordan Kotara had ten kills, Tara Dunn added eight kills and Bethany Friesenhahn added four kills for the Pirettes.  Hallettsville (22-8, 5-2) beat Brazos (4-3) 3-2 after falling behind 2-0. Weimar downed Schulenburg 3-1 after Schulenburg won the first game.  Godley is 28-5 and 7-0 in district.  Tiara Kelly had 11 kills and 7 blocks as Bushland swept Amarillo River Road.

Comments: Lucas Lovejoy is 31-6 after swatting Farmersville 25-13, 25-19, 25-20.   Abilene Wylie beat Brownwood who rebounded to sweep Breckenridge 25-13, 25-20, 25-13.  Needville crushed Wharton 27-25, 25-22, 25-5, oops not a typo game- third game was 25-5.  Wharton then beat Sweeny to improve to 20-6.  In Region IV: Cuero, Needville, Sinton, Columbus, Wimberley, LaVernia, Lytle, LaFeria are leading their districts with Cuero and Yoakum tied for first in District 28.  Graham is 17-7 for the season and 3-0 in District 2-3A play after beating Breckenridge, Snyder and Sweetwater on the road. Decatur beat Burkburnet 25-9, 25-8, 25-17.  Second ranked Prosper defeated Argyle (23-10, 4-1) 25-22, 14-25, 25-15, 25-23 in district volleyball action. Decatur (32-5, 5-0) remains undefeated in district after beating Iowa Park (4-1) 25-10, 24-14, 25-17. Decatur has won 18 of their last 19 matches. Vernon defeated Hirschi (25-17, 25-13, 25-14) and Burkburnet defeats Bridgeport (28-26, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23). Monahans beat Andrews 25-15, 25-11, 25-9 and defeated Greenwood 25-12, 25-7, 25-8 to improve to 30-5 overall, 5-0 in district. Mexia defeated LaVega 25-16, 25-7, 25-16 to improve to 25-10, 4-1.  Robinson defeated Groesbeck 25-22, 26-28, 28-26, 25-14 to improve to 4-1 in district while Lorena defeated Waco Connally 25-8, 25-16, 24-26, 25-13.  Mexia and Robinson tied for first at 4-1 with Groesbeck and Lorena at 3-2. Wharton is 22-6 after beating Brookshire Royal and Stafford.  Wharton is 4-1 in district and was led by Shaniqua Dogins who had 18 kills, 3 digs and 4 aces.  Heather Reynolds had 15 kills 7 digs and 3 aces while Chelbi Shavers had 14 assists and Chekel Farr had 15 assists. Bonham (21-14, 3-2) defeated Van Alstyne (28-7, 2-3) 25-17, 25-22, 25-17, for its third-straight district win. Van Alstyne upset Commerce the Bonham beat North Lamar.  Commerce and Paris are tied for the district lead at 4-1.  Commerce is 32-4 overall.  Burnet beat Llano in five winning 15-7 in the fifth.  Wimberley beat Canyon Lake 25-20, 25-15, 25-20 to improve to 23-12 overall and 5-0 in district.  The Texans are another one of those teams where overall record is skewed by a brutal schedule.   The Graham Lady Blues have a 13 game win streak with an overall record of 17-7.  Graham beat Brownwood 3-1 then beat Snyder in five.  The Blues are currently tied for first in the district with Abilene Wylie at 4-0. Cuero swept Gonzales.  Argyle defeated Sanger 3-1, 19-25, 28-26, 25-12, 25-14.  La Feria is 21-2 and 7-0 in district.

Mckenzie Adams slammed 25 kills as Steele swept Alamo Heights 26-24, 25-11, 25-17.  Montgomery defeated Magnolia on the road 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 26-28, 15-13. Canyon Randall is 31-1 after sweeping Dumas 25-5, 25-13, 25-11 while Richardson Pearce improved to 33-5 by sweeping Highland Park 25-20, 25-16, 25-21.  Lake Travis is 37-3 after sweeping rapidly improving Hutto 25-15, 25-16, 25-21.  Red Oak swept Mabank 25-9, 25-9, 25-13.  Steele is 21-2 after beating New Braunfels Canyon while Friendswood is 31-5 after beating Santa Fe. Brenham beat Magnolia West 25-8, 25-21, 25-8.  Frisco Centennial beat Sherman 25-8, 25-19, 25-7 while Frisco Liberty defeated McKinney North 25-16, 25-15, 25-18.

Comments:  San Antonio East Central is 22-9 , 9-1 in district 27-5A after defeating Corpus Christi Carroll in 4 games this past Friday. East Central meets King on Tuesday.  Allen got bopped by McKinney Boyd in an upset of sorts while elsewhere it was a clam week with the big dogs sharpening their playoff skills .   Harlingen South is 25-1 and 7-0 in district play.  San Antonio Reagan won for the 37th time in 38 matches by blasting SA Roosevelt 25-10, 25-12, 25-6. Westwood swept defending district champion Round Rock 25-17, 25-17, 25-9.  Neely Borger had ten kills as Amarillo swept Midland Lee while San Antonio O’Connor smacked Warren 25-15, 25-9, 25-8 and Austin Westlake tuned up for playoffs by bopping Bastrop 25-10, 25-12, 25-13. The Woodlands beat New Caney 25-11, 25-11, 25-14 while Katy Cinco Ranch beat district rival Katy 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.  El Paso Coronado swept El Paso Eastwood 25-23, 25-14, 25-20 and El Paso Franklin swept El Paso Socorro, 25-14, 25-11, 25-9.  College Park swept Conroe and Stratford beat Memorial 22-25, 25-22, 20-25, 26-24, 15-9 while A&M Consolidated swamped Belton in three and Georgetown pounded Vista Ridge as Houston signee Shelbi Goode had 18 kills.  In other matches: Hebron , Austin Bowie, Arlington Lamar and Churchill all won.
